How do they differ from your general commercial nut butter machine?

Using a nut grinder to stone grind your nut butter creates a perfectly smooth textured professional nut butter.

Stone grinding creates minimal friction allowing the temperature of the nuts to be maintained at low levels throughout, preserving the precious nutrients and flavours whilst achieving a silky smooth texture. There is no need to add salt, refined sugars, trans fats or preservatives.

The stone grinder uses granite wheels to slow grind resulting in silky smooth, creamy, melt in your mouth nut butter; A far reach from shop-bought which is typically processed with high-speed processors.

You are free to create 100% natural, beautifully lightly roasted creamy nut butter.

In contrast – general shop-bought nut butter is processed using blades that chop up the peanuts, generating more heat which can alter the taste degrade the key vitamins and healthy oils and generally contain salt, sugar, hydrogenated oils (trans fat!) and preservatives to make it more shelf-stable, resulting in a lower nutritional quality product.

Which small stone grinder machine is best for you?

Starting your bean to bar journey? or looking to produce Nut butter?

Each stone grinder is designed to have a small footprint and be relatively cheap to run. These machines achieve the same great results as the larger machines. In this section, the Spectra 11 melanger and the Spectra 11X melanger both have a capacity of 5kg.

The SPECTRA 11 and 11X tabletop stone grinder machines have ventilated and non-rotating lids. Allowing you to view and open the lid whilst the machine is running.

The grinding stones are easy to lift out and the drum is leakproof. The machines come with a double scrapper arm ensuring faster performance. The tension on the granite stones can be adjusted to obtain different grades of shear at different stages of grinding. This feature is useful when dealing with a variety of ingredients. The machines use double granite roller stones that rotate over a granite base. The stones create tremendous shear, reducing, for example, cocoa nibs to fine chocolate liquor with a particle size of the order of fewer than 15 microns.

The tension from the stones can be fully released for the conching cycle without grinding further, such that the cocoa liquor is continuously exposed to air without grinding it further. All models have this feature and there is no need for a separate model or attachments to buy. There is no need to buy any additional add-on’s or attachments, and all are included.

The stone grinders have an elegant design and sturdy construction assuring a long and satisfying usage. Sporting a white and grey combination colour and using stainless steel and a pure Black Granite stone (real stone). These components make a durable and outstanding quality machine.

All our Melangers come with speed control as standard, this helps with the conching phase of your Bean to bar process. All melangers in this section feature a tilt-to-pour function to make decanting your final product a breeze! In this section, you will find the Spectra 25 melanger, the Spectra 45 melanger and the Spectra 70 melanger. These machines have a capacity of between 10kg and 25kg.
